ABOUT ME
Hello! I'm Courtney, and I am a local artist in the DFW area. I'm known for delivering acoustic-pop and indie with heartfelt emotion and my own personal style. I have been described as being able to create a melodic and intimate space that allows us to connect through music. My repertoire spans the '90s to current hits from artists you know, to artists you've never heard of. This includes my original material.
By day, I am a 200 RYT Certified Teacher registered with the Yoga Alliance. I aim to help others reconnect with themselves through healing and movement. I specialized in Hatha, Yin, and Restorative asana practices, with training in various Meditation styles and Pranayama (Breathing) techniques. In my spare time, I'm a musician who loves pottery, crochet, and spending time watching Anime with my dog.
Music, however, is my true passion. It has always and will continue to be my priority. Now comes the transition where I take all the things I love and share them to help others. With the Istre project, I hope to do that. It encompasses all that I love, and gives me a platform to share it.

Thoughts on Life
I spent a large part of my life thus far lost in what everyone else wanted me to be, and what I thought I should be. However, I soon realized that the life I imagined wasn't as far out of reach as it appeared, I just need to go for it. If I could tell anyone one piece of advice, it'd be to try . I hope with this project I give inspiration to hose who are afraid to try, and help them see all the world has to offer, but all what they can offer the world. We have everything we need.
